Goals for 2022

Although we’re already a couple of weeks into 2022, I wanted to write out and publish my goals to the world. I want to make a promise to myself and accomplish all of these goals. Part of why I enjoyed 75 hard was that I had a set deadline and guidelines in place on how to live my life. I realized that I need something like this in my life because it gives me structure. When I don’t have a structure I just end up floating by and not accomplishing anything.

Here are my goals for 2022:

  • Move every day. I enjoy working out now and want to continue to do this so that I can live a healthy lifestyle.
  • Complete a marathon. My friend really motivated to sign up and participate in the Houston Marathon next year in early 2023. I decided to sign up and have started training.
  • Travel. A trip to El Salvador, a trip to Mexico and one other big one with Ruby would be great. We haven’t travelled since 2020 and need to get out. I have some gear that i’ve been wanting to test and I’m excited to get out and try it out.
  • Journal. It’s a habit that I have let slide in the past couple of years. But it really has helped me get my thoughts out of m y head and onto paper. It really helps me clear my mind.
  • Blog Post every thursday. Blogging has always been something that I have wanted to do. My goal is to blog about something random each thursday. I’ll update on my goals and share what I have going on in my life.
  • Read two books a month. I have been loving my kindle, it realliy makes reading fun. I want to capitalize on that and set a goal to read two books a month.
  • Finish guest bathroom. I started this project last year with my uncle and we’re very close to finishing the tile. I want to paint and style the restroom out so that it looks nice.
  • Finish back patio. Again, another project that was started last year, but I want to finish this out so we can enjoy the summer out on the patio this year.
  • Garage upgrade. I have been wanting to make sense of how I utilize my garage and my barn. I think for the most part i’ll keep all of my tools and storage in the barn and try to make our garage look as clean as possible. Epoxy floors, small storage and new lighting.
  • Barn upgrade. this is a huge project, but I would love to set up my home gym back there, organize tools to work on projects around the house and maybe even set up my home office out there. I know that’s a big task, but I would love that to be my huge man cave area.
  • Take more photos. I got a camera towards the end of last year. It has been really great to bring it (when I remember) to take photos.

Yes, these are a lot of goals, but all very doable in my eyes. I can’t wait to update at the end of the year to show how I’ve progressed in all of these areas. Stay tuned.
