How I Packed:All my clothes was put into packing cubes. my shirts and shorts all went into the medium packing cube. my underwear and socks went into the small, and a few misc. items went into the micro. My shoes went into the shoe bag, on travel days I wore my ultra boost.

Reasoning/Reflections:The reason for this trip was for my Honeymoon with my beautiful wife. I planned a really relaxing trip to Greece filled with food, drinking and swimming to help relieve stress from our wedding. I planned a photoshoot for us on the famous Island of Santorini that’s why I brought a bit more fancy clothing than I normally would. I got my Goruck GR1 as a bachelors party present from my brother and close friends and wanted to take it on my trip. I’ve one bagged for a while, but having this bag on this trip was more than I could have dreamed of. I LOVED carrying the GR1.

I usually take a bigger Joby tripod, but in the interest of space I opt’d to go for a micro version which I regretted. It was very flimsy, and wouldn’t always hold my phone up properly. I will be bringing my bigger Joby tripod in the future.

This was our longest trip we’ve ever taken so packing was a little bit harder for us, honestly I just over thought it. I brought extra clothes thinking I didn’t want to have to give up relaxing time too much to wash, but we had plenty of time. I will continue to pack for a weeks travel and just make time to wash.

Things I didn’t need:

My Laptop. I’ve never traveled with it before. It came in handy when looking up stuff, but honestly I could have done everything with my phone or my tablet. My thinking in bringing it was to maybe get some work done, but that didn’t happen. It’s light enough that it wasn’t an issue. But i’ll be leaving it at home from now on.

Adidas Ultra Boost. They were ok on travel days, but on days that I was wearing other shoes, they just took up too much space. I usually travel with Nike Free Runs because they pack small and are pretty comfortable. I thought I would wear the Ultra Boost more, but they ended up being a pain to make space for in my bag a bit too thick for warmer climates. I’ll stick to my Nike Free Runs from now on.

So much clothes. I packed alot of underwear thinking I wouldn’t wash, I also brought too many socks. On mornings we washed and set our clothes out to dry so I could have packed much less. I also brought alot of button down shirts, 1 one which I never even wore. I definitely could have gone through it with just two button down shorts. I didn’t wear pants because it was hot and the shorts I had were perfect.

Things I wish I had:Not much actually. There was never a time where I said “I need something and don’t have it.” There are some serious wants on my list at the top being a camera. I go back and forth between a point and shoot and a mirrorless dslr. My Canon 60D is old, slow but still takes decent pictures.
