I updated my CPU Fan

About a year ago now, I built a PC. I used a pretty good, but cheaper CPU fan on this built because I didn’t think I’d care about fan noise and performance. I read good things about the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and it was a good price so I went with it.

BUT, after helping my friend build his PC and seeing how he used the an NZXT fan, it made me want one.

So off I went to Microcenter to pick up a NZXT Kraken X63 CPU cooler. It honestly was a super install. Remove your previous CPU Fan, clean off the CPU with isopropyl alcohol, apply new paste and screw down the cooler. Installing the fans can take a little bit of finesse, but if you have a bigger case you shouldn’t have any issues.

After I installed it while browsing at Target, I saw this Boba Fett funko pop. I’ve never owned one but since I had been watching my boy Joey Delgado, and he always adds in a funko pop into his builds. I was able to try to match the colors inside with the colors of Boba Fett’s suit.

Overall, it was a fantastic upgrade, i’ve noticed slight performance increases. My main win is that it isn’t as loud even after heavy load.
